My name is John Redmond and I am a candidate in next month’s local elections.
I am married to Marian and we have lived and worked in Finglas for almost 40 years. Many of you will remember me from my years as a postman in the area.

In recent years, I have been heavily involved in community issues throughout Finglas. I have worked with many Finglas groups, helping them secure funding and raise awareness of problems in their area. I have represented Finglas on many local bodies, repeatedly raising issues such as anti-social activity, lack of local resources and poor bus services.

I strongly believe that the only way to resolve the problems we face in Finglas is by the Council and local people working together. It’s an obvious thing but it’s just not happening enough.
