Water Supply UPDATE 4th February
There has been an improvement in water storage . This has allowed the level of water restriction to return morenormal levels or service. Most parts now have reasonable levels of supply although there are still some small areas were work remains to be done to resolve local problems
Dublin City Council urges public to conserve water during cold weather
Severe water pressure reduction is currently affecting the following areas in the North West Region of the City:
- Cardiffsbridge
- Finglas Village
- Oakwood
- Glasnevin Road
- St. Pappins Road
Dublin City Council is calling on the public, businesses, schools and everybody in the community to conserve water. This is because water levels are at a critically low level and demand is at an all-time high.
The prolonged freeze over Christmas and the early days of January caused a dramatic increase in broken water mains. The ground will move as the thaw sets in during the week beginning 11th January and this will cause further damage and breakages to the water mains, resulting in increased loss of water.

" Working Together Working for You"
NEWS UPDATE
My name is John Redmond and I am a candidate in next month’s local elections.
I am married to Marian and we have lived and worked in Finglas for almost 40 years. Many of you will remember me from my years as a postman in the area.
In recent years, I have been heavily involved in community issues throughout Finglas. I have worked with many Finglas groups, helping them secure funding and raise awareness of problems in their area. I have represented Finglas on many local bodies, repeatedly raising issues such as anti-social activity, lack of local
resources and poor bus services.
I strongly believe that the only way to resolve the problems we face in Finglas is by the Council and local people working together. It’s an obvious thing but it’s just not happening enough.
